​Make new MG friends and renew long time friendships at a British Pub on Tuesday night, the Meet & Greet BBQ on Wednesday night, the gala Awards Banquet on Thursday night, as well as group driving events. Often, more than one event is scheduled at the same time to allow you to choose the ones that interest you most. Our GOF is all about celebrating each other!​​

 

Tuesday, 14 April: Afternoon & Evening- 4-Event GOF Kickoff

​

1.  KEYNOTE SPEAKER: TOM METCALF -"MG in the Prewar Years" 

     Tom Metcalf, MG collector, and owner of Safety Fast! Restoration will be         presenting a history of the beginnings of MG from the prewar years.               Tom is a world renown MG expert and concours d’elegance winning               restoration specialist.

2.  Tweed Drive-Polish your MG and dress in your finest British Tweed attire       for the most popular driving event at GOF. Proper tweed attire is required       for the drive to the Pig & Whistle British Pub.

3.  The Pig & Whistle-Don’t want to wear tweed? That’s OK. Everyone is                 invited to the Pig & Whistle British Pub. Drive your MG or hop on the GOF       trolley from the Radisson. Fish and Chips served with mushy peas is a             favorite.

4.  An Evening With the Masters-Finish your evening at the Pig & Whistle           with our panel of nationally known MG experts plus your GOF friends             who answer questions and exchange tips in an open forum. It’s a perfect       end to the first day of GOF before you return to the Radisson for the night.

Wednesday, 15 April

 

1. First-Timers Reception- Let's all get together to honor and welcome our First-Timers! We've always showcased the First-Timer MGs on the first full day of GOF South, but this year we are focused on new GOF participants who want to celebrate the beloved MG or, just want to join those that do! Our reception includes a complimentary cocktail. Cheers!

2. Meet & Greet BBQ- Following our First Timers reception, we will all gather for a BBQ buffet at the Radisson. Enjoy a casual and fun dinner while trading bets on the winner of the upcoming valve cover races.

3. Valve Cover Racing- Race your MG at GOF!! Valve cover racing returns to GOF in 2026 after the Meet & Greet dinner. Put some wheels on an MG valve cover and send it speeding down a gravity track racing against other GOF speed demons. Start building your racer now. Thursday, April 16 

 

1. Pre-Banquet Reception - Grab a drink with friends old and new to talk through the activities and ongoing plans for your MG holiday. Doors open soon for an eventful Awards Banquet!

2. Awards Banquet - This year the Awards Banquet brings a new level of interest for all. Besides offering a delicious Northern Italian Buffet dinner, we will be presenting Car Show awards, Honorees, A live Auction of some special items as well as the awarding of the prestigious “Best of Abingdon” trophy.
