FROM PRESIDENT KATHY’S DESK: I hope everyone has noticed the change in the air. It is fall in Florida! While weather of 89 degrees may not seem like very much of a change, the sun is not nearly as ferocious in the morning and evening. Time to get out all those cars and drive! We always look forward to our fall overnighter in October. This year we are heading to a different spot and Al & I are looking forward to the fellowship and, of course, the good food we always seem to find.
Now is the time to get started on making these memories permanent. We need a club historian. I would like to see someone who can scan pictures into the computer or load them up so we can keep the spirit of MG fellowship going for years to come. The memories and history are important. I am technologically challenged and need someone to step up to the job. Please volunteer! If there is more than one person, I am sure we can do even more.
One of the GOF chair’s goals is to have a history of the GOF on a CD for distribution. Al Cook is looking forward to seeing some of the history as well. We have heard about it from oral history, but they say a picture is worth a thousand words. This would be a great way for some of our new members to learn about our history, too.
A pitcher of your favorite awaits the person who takes on the MG historian’s role.
Prost!
President Kathy
